The Government has approved changes to the Strategy for Preventing the Spread of Antimicrobial Resistance. According to the changes, the media and the Internet will more actively cover the use of antimicrobial drugs, as well as new antibiotics will be developed and introduced.

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has ordered changes to the Strategy for Preventing the Spread of Antimicrobial Resistance until 2030. The document is published on the portal publication.pravo.gov.ru .

According to the changes, informing the population about the rational use of antimicrobials, their adequate replacement, the inadmissibility of self-medication and its consequences should be carried out in the media and on the Internet.

The country should improve methods and methods for detecting antimicrobial resistance, the development and introduction of new antibiotics and drugs that increase the effect of existing antibiotics and prevent the development of resistance to them, as well as new biomedical cell products.

In addition, the government has adjusted the action plan for 2019-2024 for the implementation of the strategy.
